At the September Annual Meeting the delegates voted to collect membership dues but no timeline was established. More to follow.
Leonard asked when and where will the Network hold the Annual Meeting. Greg responded that we can hold it in Austin, DFW, or here. San Antonio has hosted the off year annual meeting three times and Houston twice. Amelia will be asked first to see if her Region is willing to host it. If not DFW is the second choice. More to follow.
Daniel Hernandez Briefed the team on the TAMHN Family Legacy Program. Review the above "Legacy" attachments with all the information on this program. Bottomline this is an excellent idea but the Network has lots to work on before bringing it online. This includes setting up a committee, coordinting with TAMU, the Association, Admissions and Financial Aid Office, and others. He also provided a brief overview on the TAMHN Leadership Development Program. Review the two attachments on this Leadership Program. More to follow.
San Antonio area Aggies still have time to join or renew their local A&M Club membership. You can join/renew by going into www.aggiepark.com. I encourage all of you to join and be part of the San Antonio Area Aggie Family.

Recently TAMU was ranked 23rd on Kiplinger's "Best Values" Public Colleges List, followed by t.u., and University of Texas-Dallas. No other Texas Universities made the list. The Best Colleges.org ranked TAMU 6th among all public and private colleges/universities and First in Texas. Ranking based on; Economic Value, Quality of Life, Academic Quality, and Student Satisfaction. Additionally TAMU fared well (8th among public universities and First in in the Southwest or deep South) in a recent New York Times listing of what business leaders worldwide say are top institutions from which to recruit. The Wall Street Journal, in a recent study, ranked TAMU Secondin which large U.S. companies, non-profits and govermental agencies rated schools on the basis of whose graduates were best prepared and most able to SUCCEED. Finally Smart Money placed TAMU First in Texas in earnings of graduates at the midpointof their careers. As you can read there are plenty of positive reasons why we must continue to spread the word and continue to help high school seniors,
especially Hispanics, attend and graduate from TAMU.
Again, next meeting is February 03, 7am at TAMU-SA, Brooks City-Base. See above attachment for directions. Hope to see you there.
